You can now earn and redeem miles on American Airlines. You’ll also earn miles on US Airways marketed flights operated by American Airlines (also called a codeshare flight).
All miles and segments earned on US Airways and American are elite-qualifying.
Star Alliance carriers
We'll be exiting Star Alliance on March 30, 2014. You’ll be able to earn and redeem miles on Star Alliance carriers until that date. Any existing reservations for travel on a codeshare flight with a Star Alliance partner after March 30, 2014 are safe; however, you'll be rebooked with a new flight number from the carrier operating the flight, and you'll no longer earn miles or receive Star Alliance Gold or Silver benefits.
For credit, show your Dividend Miles number when you book or check in for your flight.
- Dividend Miles members traveling on US Airways will accrue mileage based on the actual miles flown. Base members flying US Airways Shuttle will accrue the actual miles flown or 500 miles per segment, whichever is greater.
- Preferred members traveling on US Airways will accrue the actual miles flown or 500 miles per segment, whichever is greater.
- Please save your boarding pass; it may be required to receive flight credit.
